Valentine's Day at the Washburn House

I spent the day slaving in the kitchen to make a John a very nice steak dinner and this wonderful dessert.







This was the first time I have used fondant icing. I made it myself via this recipe here, http://candy.about.com/od/fondantcandyrecipes/r/mm_fondant.htm, and much to my surprise I loved it! Caleb had his first cupcake - not the whole thing of course :)



Daddy got a cooler and some camping stuff - Caleb presented Daddy with his gifts.



I got some flowers - beautiful.

Vintage Dresser Project

Craigslist: $40.00
Time: About a good 10 hours total -still have to put on one wheel on the left
Money spent to fix it up: Approximately $25.00

NOT BAD. NOT BAD AT ALL! Love it. Finishing up the matching set! I really enjoyed antiquing this piece, and wish I had done before pics because it was pretty bad. Next time I will try not to get one that requires so much attention but for $40.00 it was still a steal for the style/age.

**SNOW DAY**

Most of which consisted of the first picture - kicking our legs in disapproval of such coldness. I got like five pictures out of the two minutes we were out there. Oh well.
