An Afternoon with the Akins

I got to spend Sunday afternoon with the Akins family doing some senior photos for their daughter Emily. We set out downtown in Springfield, and ended up at Nathanael Greene Park. The Akins were filled with wonderful ideas, and lots of props. I think all of their wonderful ideas paid off because we got some great shots! It was a joy working with the Akins family, and I cannot wait to photograph Natalie and Nathan's wedding next June. Enjoy the shoot.

Senior Photos in Marshfield

This weekend I had the opportunity to head out to Marshfield to do a senior photo shoot with Connor. Even though it was INCREDIBLY hot we managed to get some pretty snazzy photos right in the downtown area. I had never been out to Marshfield so it was nice to take a short trip outside of Springfield and add some variety to my portfolio. I was surprised at how well Connor knew the downtown area of Marshfield, and she picked the most perfect spots to shoot all of her senior photos. We traveled down lots of brick alleys, visited tons of old buildings, and even managed to find some hay bales right there in the middle of the city! I had a wonderful time, and I am so grateful that Connor knew her way around seeing as I had never been there. Who knew that Marshfield would be such a perfect canvas for senior photos?! Trevor and Kaci

This past weekend I was privileged to be able to shoot Trevor and Kaci's engagement session. We had a wonderful time out in Sequiota Park here in Springfield, although I must admit it was extremely HOT. We had tried to do their engagement photos a couple of weekends ago but got rained out, and we had to split the session in two separate sessions. That might have been a good thing because we did not have to spend a whole photo shoot in incredibly hot weather - just half of it.

Besides the hot weather, we had a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing Trevor and Kaci's little girl. She is sooo adorable. I also wanted to send out a special thanks to both of the Grandmas for coming out and helping, that was just amazing.

Kaci and Trevor were so easy to photograph, and I just enjoyed watching them have fun together. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in September!

Amanda and Chris Amdur

This last Saturday was such a gorgeous day to have a wedding! I had a wonderful time photographing Chris and Amanda on their special day. This amazing couple was so easy to work with, and they both filled my day with laughter. Chris and Amanda had an evening wedding at the simple, yet beautiful Campbell United Methodist Church with their reception immediately following at a classy, popular restaurant here in south Springfield, Touch. I had a such a great time working with them both, and I cannot wait to post a sneak peek of their wedding, so here it is!

Chase's First Birthday!

We had a wonderful time with the Morrison family a couple of weeks ago at Chase's 1st Birthday! I cannot believe they grow so fast. I remember when this little guy was born. HAPPY 1st Birthday Chase!

Our Newest Addition!

Introducing our newest addition Caleb Andrew! He is keeping Mommy quite busy these days but I am enjoying every bit of it! He was born May 22, 2010 weighing in at 6 lbs 13oz, and 20 1/4 in long.

Maternity Photos

After much evaluation, of photographers and our budget :) , John and I decided to take our own maternity shots. John did an absolutely amazing job - the only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that we forgot to use the tripod so he could actually be in some of the pictures. Oh well...He still did a fantastic job!
